First 70 degree day in this part of Michigan. Looks like a lot of spring type work ahead of me. Been getting these toys ( I mean implements ) for the tractor, time to put them to use. Looking forward to the seat time without snow blowing in my face. Spring has Sprung. ....

This was my first week back to the aerospace grind after my surgery, I haven't done any landscaping yet and the customers are ringing the phone way too frequently. After the rain stopped yesterday, we had some sun. Today, we had 70 degrees and sun. Our vernal ponds have come alive, the peepers are singing for a hot date, the eagles and hawks have taken to nest - can the crickets be far away? Its great to be alive and part of it all! ....

We're a bit behind you guys. Some snow still in the yard and enough in the bush to make walking difficult. Well, it won't be long. We had our first shirtsleeves day yesterday and our first thunder storm right now. Birds are on track and soon the frogs will start sounding like a sci-fi sound track.

First thing though is for the ground to thaw and dry enough to work the compost pit. Our neighbour made a haystack on top of his well head to keep it from freezing and I'd sure like to add it to the compost.
